Some people say dogs can't talk but somehow my mommy understood all my needs. When I wanted overpriced chicken treats, all I had to do is give a "ruff" and scratch at the cabinet. Sometimes I didn't feel so good and would just need to give my mom a look and she would know that it was pill time. She'd fluff up pillows so I could keep my head propped higher, which made me feel so much more comfy. I communicated my every need to mommy so now she's able to share my story with parents of my doggie friends who have the same health issues as me - Syringomyelia ("SM") and Mitral Valve Disease ("MVD"). I made the very best of my 7 years but would have loved to have more time with my family. Help my mommy lobby for breeding protocols so that future Cavaliers live long, healthy lives.  If you have knowledge about SM or MVD, please share! My mommy needs the support.
