Stroller Rides Are Perfect For Cavs Lacking Stamina!

I was walking Trisha on a beautiful spring morning. Her precious six-year old body was tired, reflecting the years of medications used to control her syringomeylia ("SM"). Her MVD was also beginning to take its toll. She strolled slowly and sniffed the damp green grass. Trisha stopped, looked up at me and like many Cav owners, I knew exactly what she wanted. I carefully scooped her up in my arms and continued our walk down the path. I noticed that her ears were perked and she was looking from side to side at the squirrels scampering to get their nuts. I thought, "she wants to be outside but doesn't have energy to walk...at least not today."

A Sweet Ride!

I had never seen a pup in a pet stroller but had heard about them. I placed my order that day. I was pretty certain that Miss Trisha felt a bit like royalty and wouldn't mind riding in a carriage. My prediction was right on the money. It was the BEST $180 I ever spent! Her sleek new ride came complete with a furry green pillow. I put Trisha in and she sat right down. She started observing her surroundings. I stood there for a food few minutes grinning from ear to ear. And then she turned around as if to say...get moving mommy!

Memories to Last a Lifetime

Trisha got to experience all the seasons in comfort. On her good days, she would stand up in the stroller and request to get out and walk some. Other days, she would sit and enjoy the fresh air, warm sunshine, scampering creatures, and other people and their dogs. Miss Trisha and her "ride" attracted a lot of attention. On numerous occasions, people would pull their cars over and ask to take our picture. My pup happily obliged with an inquisitive look and a slight tilt to her head. I made so many memories and am so very grateful for them.

If your Cav is slowing down, there's no reason he/she can't enjoy fresh air and sunshine! (It happened to be very good exercise for Trisha's mommy as well!!)
